Ad for the launch of the Olimpikas.lt website

A still from the advert launching the Olimpikas.lt website

When a new or renewed website is launched, it is not enough to simply say "it is live". People need to see very quickly what they will find there and why it is worth visiting. For this, a short website presentation ad was created for the project olympikas.lt.

A short website tour

The ad is structured as a minimalistic site tour. The logo and domain are shown first, then the message "All in one place". It's a simple promise, but it works very well for a community site: the person understands that they won't have to search through multiple channels for information.

The ad then moves through the main sections: About Us, News, Membership, Gallery and 1.2% Support. Each section is assigned a short meaning, so it is not a dry listing of menu items.

Why minimalism works here

This social media video is simple, but that's what makes it clear. Uniform typography, light background, consistent accents and icons help to read information quickly. The ad doesn't pretend to be a big clip. It does one job: present the site and call to action.

Closing call to action "Visit. Engage. Support." closes the message well because it has three clear actions. This is especially important in the communication of associations or communities, where a person needs to understand not only where to go, but also how he can contribute.

This type of website video presentation is suitable when you don't want noise, but a clear explanation in a few seconds. When a specific bid is delivered instead of a page, the price and action signals are more active and it shows repeated ads for a physical store in the example. Before creating such a presentation, it is worth having a clear logic of the website itself. More about this in the article How do you plan the structure of a website?.
